Temple in July
We had a family home evening at the temple. It was fun to watch the kids.
Trey looks so cute. I wonder what he is thinking?

End of the School Year 2011
Chandler received the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence and Quality Counts award. Brenen received a PE award along with some other awards that got lost. Trey received an award for Academic Excellence, Paws of Pride for trying to raise money for the school during these tough economic times. Mrs. Douglass (the principal) gave him the award and a teddy bear (Trey named Steve) as a thank you for being so caring and thoughtful. I am so proud of my boys this year.

is playing baseball for the Dodgers. He plays pitcher and 3rd base. He loves the game and is a strike out pitcher. He is always confident unless his Uncle Rod is watching and then he gets real nervous because he is Bo's dad. Brenen idolized Bo and wants to be just like him. Their team has only lost two games this season. They took second in the league. GO DODGERS!! Brenen was invited to try out for the all star team.

Jerry Lewis (not Jerry Lewis the comedian)
In February of this year Chads grandma Honey passed away. She was a very kind and sweet woman. Our family decided to go to the funeral. When we got there we met Chads biological father, Jerry Lewis. He had never met myself (Kayleen) and the kids. It was a good experience for us all. We also saw Chads half brother and sister Kacey and Kelly Lewis.

Junior
Mom loves the TV show "Big Cat Week". Its show about cats it the wild doing what they do best, HUNT. Kaison began watching it with his Mom. There was an episode where a cub named Junior was trampled by buffalo. The buffalo had stepped on the back legs of Junior paralyzing him. He tried to stay with his pride but was unable to do so because of the loss of his legs. Ultimately he died. It was a very sad show. Kaison started to cry because the pride left Junior and did not stay with him. So, for Christmas Santa brought him two Juniors to take care of. Kaison was so excited. (Kaison kept reenacting Juniors accident and then Kaison coming to the rescue and taking care of him)

2010 in a nutshell
It has been a great year.
Chad was promoted to SWAT. He loves working there. It is different than what he has been doing in law enforcement, and he has learned a lot. His side business has done well. He had to take some time off while he was in SWAT school. He serves on the High Council in our stake and keeps busy.
Kayleen is enjoying being a mom. It gets a little crazy but it is fun. She serves on the Superintendent of Schools PAC team for the elementary school. She serves as second counselor in the Young Women program in her ward.
Aubree (not pictured) is attending her first semester at BYU. She wants to earn an honors degree from there. She has learned it is not easy being away from home. She has grown so much in the last few months. We love and miss her.
Haleigh is on the dance team at her high school and she is now driving. She is anxious to go get mom anything she wants. She has started dating and has loved it. Haleigh is a good girl and is a great example to others on her dance team.
Dalley is on her high school cross country team. She was just cast in her high school play "Grease" she is a pink lady. Pretty good for a freshman. Dalley is the most compassionate girl. Her mom and dad get told that all the time by teachers and leaders.
Chandler is now a deacon. He has started passing the sacrament and feels very responsible now that he holds the priesthood. He is such a sweet boy.
Brenen was on his schools flag football team. They were undefeated when they went into the playoffs and then lost. He is very protective of his mom and does not seem to like it when she wants to go somewhere alone.
Trey is a Jivin Jumper at school. It is a jump roping team. Dad and Mom went to watch him perform. He loves doing it. Trey has such a fun personality.
Kaison LOVES Spiderman. He had a Spiderman party for his 5th birthday. He is a very polite boy. He always says "yes, ma'am", "please", "excuse me"... We love how polite he is.
Superman is into everything. We have decided that means he will be very smart. He is 2. Need we say more?
It is a great time to be a Lyman. We pray it always will be. We love you all and look forward to a great 2011!

For the past several weeks I have been looking on Craigs list, garage sales, and furniture stores for reasonably priced book shelves. I have not found what I have wanted. On Thanksgiving we were discussing this with John and Kathy. Kathy mentioned that I should build some shelves. I figured I have build a pantry and put shelves up in the garage why not a bookcase. So I drew up plans on what I needed and I am fortunate enough to have John and Kathy so close. John came and cut all my wood and put it all together. Then I painted it and here is the final result. All for around $200.00. THANK YOU Kathy for getting me to do this and for using John to help me :)

Our Little Deacon
Chandler turned 12. This is a big year for him. He is now a Deacon. It is weird to think that he is that old all ready. He is such a sweet boy and tries to always do what he is supposed to do. He makes us proud. Chandler had his best friend over for the day, had pizza for dinner, and played his new video game. I would say he had a very fun birthday.
