Dalley had her piano recital. Look at her fingers glide across those keys. She is so talented.
Haleigh put a four leaf clover in her hair for dance team tryouts. She made the team so it must have worked.

Aubree's play "Ozma of Oz" was a huge sucess. Mom sold tickets, the kids loved it, and Aubree was perfect.

Extremem Home Makeover

was here. It was fun to see the house go up in a week, the familiar faces, and the end result. It was so much fun.
Extremem Home Makeover was here. It was fun to see some familiar faces, the house go up in a week, and the end result. It is supposed to air on May 10th.

Kaison was bored while waiting for his sister who was trying on clothes. So he wanted to try on some hats. He did not like the first two hats they looked too much like girls hats but this one was just right.
Kaison was so excited to hold his little brother. But after a few pictures it went to...

Draper Temple

This last month Aubree and I went to the Draper temple open house with the laurel class. The morning that we went there it was snowing so when you drove up to the temple and saw it, it looked like a black and white picture. It is a beautiful temple. When we got the young women inside the look on their faces is unforgettable as they walked from room to room. They had so many questions and they were in awe of everything they looked at and you could tell they were trying to take it all in and remember it. As we were leaving the girls commented on the fact that they wanted to be married there. The spirit was so strong. I am so grateful that we were able to take these girls there. I hope they will not forget this experience and keep their desire to go to the temple.

February 24th
Today is one of those days that every mom has. I was optimistic that I would be able to get everything done on my schedule and have a few extra minutes to myself that I cannot wait to use when I get finished. Then the following happens
Brenen received his first wrestling injury. He sprained his ankle. His ankle was so swollen that we took him to urgent care and Dad had to sit in the waiting room for 3 1/2 hours while mom sat by the phone worrying.

The next exciting thing that happened to me was this. My baby did not want to keep his poop in his diaper while I was holding him. The kids all scattered when I asked for help. No one wants to help with baby poop.
And to top the day off a bottle of bubbles just like this one got a small hole in the bottom of it. We did not realize it until today. As you can see I have wire racks in my closet. You know where the bubbles went. And yes, it was so fun to clean up.

All of the things with bubble soap on them, including carpet. As you know it is not easy to clean off bubble soap. We are so bubbled out, that the following things are outlawed in my home. No more bubble gum, bubble letters, or bubble baths. I dont even want to see someone who is bubbly for the rest of the day. So much for my few minutes of relaxation.
I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Top ten reasons I love Christmas.

10. Mom asking Aubree to sing "Oh how lovely was the morning" when she gave the painting of the sacred grove to Mom for Christmas.
9. Ornaments were not broken by balls being thrown into the tree.
8. Kids go to bed at 3:00PM on Christmas Eve so that Santa can come.
7. No sales calls on Christmas.
6. Christmas music on cable 24/7.
5. Santa claus has 8 items to eat on Christmas eve because all of the kids want to leave something. Even the teenagers who thought it was funny that Santa would need to eat all of it.
4. Raindeer food that Brenen wanted to spread all over the patio. When Santa needed to get rid of the raindeer food it was cold and raining so sweeping away the evidence was a long painstaking task.
3. All the plates of goodies that are left by friends. It becomes dinner. (No cooking for mom) Kids have had cookies, candy, cake, and hot chocolate for dinner the last couple of weeks.
2. Making gifts for friends and having kids deliver them in their PJ shorts, t-shirts, and no shoes when it is 30 degrees outside. (bad mom)
1. Kids go to bed at 3:00 PM on Christmas Eve so that Santa can come. (Did I already say that? Well it is a good one)

But the real reason we love Christmas is being reminded of the Saviors birth. How grateful we are for his life and sacrifice he made for us. We love him and love to celebrate the great gifts he has given us.
What is your favorite part of Christmas...Presents
What is your favorite part of Christmas......

Haleigh... Waking up really early (She does not say that is her favorite part of Seminary)
Dalley...Christmas Eve (She loves the anticipation)
What is your favorite part of Christmas...Gifts
What is your favorite thing about Christmas....presents
His favorite thing about Christmas is....The Christmas tree reminds me about Jesus. (Great answer)

Mom: Kaison what do you like about Christmas?
Kaison: Christmas
Mom: Yes, but what do you like about Christmas?
Kaison: I just like Christmas?
Mom: Why?
Kaison: Oh Mom (Shakes head) Cars.

Snow

The kids all loved having it snow. Aubree just wanted to cuddle up with a good book. Haleigh and Dalley were praying that they would have no school until after Christmas break. The boys wanted to have a contest to see who could go out in the snow without a jacket the longest. Kaison won and he was not even playing. We caught him outside several times with very little on. (See pictures below) Luckily he is not sick. The girls went on a hay ride for mutual. It snowed so hard. It is not very often you can say you went on a hay ride in the snow in our neck of the woods.
