HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween was so fun. Saturday night our ward had a trick or treat at the ward building. The boys gathered up candy from all of our ward members. Brenen did a real sweet thing for a little boy in our ward who did not realize everyone was trick or treating. At the end of the evening this little boy came up to his mother and asked when he could go get candy. By this time everyone was leaving and the trick or treating was over. We went to our car and told our boys about this little boy. Brenen took almost all of his candy and gave it to him. Trey and Kaison soon followed their big brothers example. We asked Superman if he wanted to give some candy and his answer was a definate "NO". (Well, you cant win em all.) We were so proud of our boys for sharing we love to see our kids be kind to others. Monday night was October 31st. The kids were so excited to go get more candy. Brenen was a Dallas Cowboy, Trey was Batman, Kaison was Flash Gordon, and Superman was Buzz lightyear (even the eyebrows matched) They went around our neighborhood with their sisters and Chandler passed out candy to those to came to our door.

FYI...DONT TOUCH SUPERMANS CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My First 3 year old to ride a trike!!!

If you are asking yourself if we have given a trike to our other children the answer is yes. However, we haven’t had a child learn to ride it for a variety of reasons. They don’t like to ride it, it scares them, they don’t know how to make it go… Superman loves the outdoors. Every morning he goes out to boss our dog Annie around. He then walks his trike around the little pathway we have. He was tired of walking it around and started to figure out how to make it go. With a little help from Kaison he learned. It is so cute to see him go.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!

Brenen is playing tackle football for the first time.He was lucky. Dad and Mom did not want to spend any more money this year on sports. We had a friend call and say that they were needing another player on their football team and all expenses were covered. Including sign up fees. Come to find out that Dana White from the UFC’s son is the quarter back and so he put together a team and paid for trainer, photographer, uniforms, pads, helmet, and even got the boys their cleats. It was an incredible opportunity. Brenen was grateful he could go learn football.

Work of Mothers

The other day I was reflecting on all of the things I had accomplished so far this year. I took a Photography class so that I could capture precious moments with my children. I painted the boys room with cartoon characters they enjoy. I built their pinewood derby cars. I sewed Haleighs homecoming dress. I worked on video editing and website development for my husbands business. I have learned about scouting, baseball, and football so I could help my boys. I made necklaces and charm bracelets for my daughters dance team. I was proud of my achievements. I soon realized that everything I had accomplished was a result of something my family needed and I was able to do for them. How exciting it is in knowing that my accomplishments were in the service of my family. It feels good knowing that my family needs me. Not only for the service I give but I know they need me for the things I teach, the example I can be, and for the love I show. How grateful I am to know that The noblest calling in the world is that of mother. True motherhood is the most beautiful of all arts, the greatest of all professions.

HaPpy 3Rd BiRThdAy SuPErmAn

This was the first birthday where Superman realized it was his day. He opened his presents not really understanding what the big deal was, until he looked inside. GIFTS! He loved them all. We then sang happy birthday, he sang half way through the song when he realized we were singing it to him. When it came time for the blowing out candles, he struggled. He tried blowing but he was just not strong enough to get them all out at once. We encouraged him to continue blowing but he finally said “I cant”. We did not want him to fail so we pushed the cake real close to him and told him to blow them out one at a time. We worried that he was so close that his hair would catch on fire but he blew each one out and when he was done he was very pleased with himself.

Cross Country 2011

Dalley is amazing. She continues to run despite the shin splints, knee pain, fatigue, and disappointment. She never gives up and improves with each meet. She won her first medal, she was so excited and we couldn't be more proud. It’s a lot of hard work and she never waivers in her dedication. What a great life lesson she has learned and is an example to her whole family.

Brenen loves baseball and continues to play. He is quite the all star. His coach said that the kids should not forget Brenens name because they will see big things from him.

Chucky Cheese - Where a kid can be a kid

We went to Chucky Cheese for Labor day fun. The boys played video games. I only gave them 20 coins each, but they kept finding coins and ended up playing for hours. Superman decided he did not like the car he rode on when he got off. It was the only thing he would try. He preferred watching the Chucky Cheese performance. Kaison lost sight of what you were supposed to do with the coins. He would put it in the machine and walk away. He did not know he needed to stay and play the game. Maybe he thought the coin was a vote for his favorite machine. When we explained that he could play the game it became a whole new experience for him. Now he would like to go back.

Simply Superman!

Superman got splinters in his foot. Luckily Brenen was there to save the day.
One afternoon we could not find Superman . After an exhaustive search he was discovered in Moms closet covered in bubbles, no underwear, asleep, and with the empty bubble container laying next to him. Why asleep in the closet? Why no underwear? How did he cover himself with bubbles without getting any into his eyes? All questions we may never know the answers to.
I think he ate a poison apple.

He loves to spend time with his cars.

Superman wanted to help Mom pull weeds. When we looked into his bag we found a few weeds along with several rocks, otter pop wrapper, bark dust, stick and a leaf.
They dont stay little long enough.

First day of school

Kaison said he was only going to get one green card from his teacher all year. He said "I am going to get mostly yellow". (A green card is givenfor good behavior, Yellow for those who are not doing as well as they should, Red means you need to improve) Chandler, Brenen, and Trey were not as excited for school this year until this morning. Now they are ready to go and cant wait to see who is in their class. Superman will be at home with Mom this year.
